Course Objective : The main objectives of this course are:
- To train students to work as dialysis technicians and assist nephrologists in their duties.
- To train Student to undertake hemodialysis treatment on patients with end stage and acute renal failure.
- To get understanding of various drugs used in anesthesia including their side effects, toxicity, doses of administration, proper administration and utilization.
- To train students to provide airway ventilation and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation when necessary.
Course Duration : 1 Year
Eligibility :10+2 or equivalent with science specialization (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) having minimum 45% passing marks
Knowledge and Skills :
- Knowledge of Anatomy & Pharmacology
- Preparation of Dialysis Machine and Dialysis Circuit
- Monitor all The Parameters in Machine (Temp, Conductivity, etc.)
- Check /monitor Vitals of the Patients
- Reprocessing of Dialyzer
- Total Patient Care on Dialysis
- Monitor and Manage Machine Alarms
- Preparation of Chemicals
- Vascular Access – Type, Care, Cannulation etc.
- Knowledge of Principles and Practice of Peritoneal and Hemodialysis
- Knowledge of Renal Diseases and Management

- Take Patients' Medical Histories
- Be a part of the Code Blue Team
- Carry out Important Investigations and do Basic Interpretation of their Results
- Patient Safety & Emergency Codes
